OUR STORY
What started with one beloved location in the heart of San Antonio grew to several more. Over the years, Rosella expanded to several locations, from downtown in the historic Rand building, to the carriage house at the San Antonio Botanical Gardens, and inside two Methodist Hospital locations.
Like many establishments, Rosella was hard hit by the pandemic and made the difficult decision to close its café locations and focus on growing its successful hospital locations. In 2022, business owners Tom Schleuning and Julia Bates opened their third hospital location inside Methodist Stone Oak, in addition to Methodist in the Medical Center and Northeast Methodist.
Rosella Coffee was founded in 2014 by passionate coffee enthusiasts who shared a vision: to create a welcoming space where the community could come together to enjoy exceptional coffee and genuine conversations.
WHAT WE DO
Rosella Coffee is a San Antonio café and specialty coffee concept known for its thoughtfully sourced beans, expertly crafted espresso drinks, and welcoming community atmosphere.
Beyond coffee, Rosella also features an elevated grab-and-go food program, carefully curated in collaboration with select local vendors. This rotating selection emphasizes freshness, quality, and intention—offering thoughtfully prepared items that pair well with the café’s beverage program while supporting the broader San Antonio food community.
